Headteacher Statement

Welcome to Grassmoor Primary School. It is a thriving and happy school, where children come first. We aim to provide a family atmosphere where your child feels safe, secure and cared for; as well as receiving an excellent education. When children start at our school, we nurture and care for them throughout their time at school so that they can succeed and grow into happy, successful learners.

We believe that all children are entitled to a full and enriching education, where first-hand experiences, creativity and enjoyment form the basis of successful learning and the development of the whole child. The children will acquire a great deal of knowledge, skills and attributes at school in order to foster an enquiring mind and a love of learning (Please see our curriculum statement). We also hope to develop learners who accept, embrace and celebrate diversity in our ever-changing world.

The school has an excellent range of facilities which include a large sports field, a Forest Schools’ area, a large library and an allotment, as well as spacious well-equipped classrooms.

Our highly skilled teaching and support staff strive to inspire and value all children as individuals and are dedicated in working in partnership with parents and carers to enable all children to succeed.

We look forward to working together with you.
