Reception New Starters
Starting school is an exciting milestone, and we have planned a range of induction activities to help make the transition as smooth, relaxed, and enjoyable as possible for both you and your child.
To help your child settle confidently into school life, we have arranged the following induction events:
· Introductory Parent Talk
Thursday 4th June at 2:00 PM (School Hall)
This session is essential for all parents and carers. If you are unable to attend, please email us at info@grassmoor.derbyshire.sch.uk.
Please bring:
- A copy of your child’s full birth certificate
- Both parents’/carers’ National Insurance numbers
- Parents’/carers’ dates of birth
· Reception Induction Morning
Thursday 25th June, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Your child will enjoy a morning in their new classroom and begin to get to know the school environment.
· Reception Full-Day Induction
Thursday 2nd July, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Children will stay for a full school day, including lunch (£3.26), to help familiarise them with routines and school meals.
· Play & Stay Session
Monday 7th September
You and your child will be invited to attend either a morning or afternoon session to meet their teacher and explore the classroom together.
Full-Time Start Date - Tuesday 8th September, 8:45 AM – 3:15 PM
